Following the formal charging of Jackie Shroyer in connection with recent events in Lubango, Angola, SIM is working closely with her legal team to determine the most appropriate next steps.

She continues to be held in custody, supported by SIM colleagues and others.

Her children, now residing in the USA, are being cared for by close family with support from SIM counselors. We are also providing ongoing care for our teams in Angola and the United States, ensuring they have access to the resources they need during this difficult time.

We are deeply thankful for the prayers and support from around the world. We ask for continued prayer for all those impacted by this tragedy. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not comment further at this time.
